What public parking costs in Zagreb

This page lists the official prices for public parking: the on-street zones and the Park & Ride sites run by Zagrebparking. The City sets those prices and they are the same for everyone.

Private spaces, garages inside buildings and spaces in courtyards are not part of that system. There the owner sets the price, so it varies from one district to the next and can be noticeably higher than a city zone.

  1. Zone I.1 has no hourly parking. Residents park with a resident permit; everyone else only with a daily ticket issued by an official. The disability parking sticker does not apply there.
  2. Applies to the spaces at Rebro hospital.
  3. Only in zone I can half an hour be paid by SMS (e.g. ZG1234AB#30 to 700101).

The daily ticket is issued by the parking operator when a vehicle is found in a charged space without a valid ticket, and can also simply be bought. It runs for 24 hours. In zones I.1 and I.2 it is the only way to park, because neither has an hourly ticket. Zagrebparking publishes no daily-ticket price for zone II.2, so none is shown here.

The „Where" column shows the city districts in which Zagrebparking's street list by zone and block has charged streets of that zone. The list does not separate II.1 from II.2, so both rows show the same districts. For zones I.2, IV.1, IV.2 and V the list gives individual locations rather than streets, so no district is named.

You pay for the zone and still hunt for a space.

The ticket gives you the right to park if you find somewhere. At half past seven in the evening that is often nowhere. A private space is not something you hunt for. It is waiting for you.

Resident and business permit

It can be bought by residents of streets in the charged zones, and by companies, sole traders and people in independent professions whose registered seat or business premises are in that area. A permit is issued for up to 12 months.

  • The time limit does not apply to a permit, so in zone I you do not have to move the car every two hours.
  • Every holder is assigned one of the 23 parking blocks alongside the zone, and the price for a block equals the price of the zone the block belongs to.

It is bought at the Zagreb Holding customer centre desk at Ulica Grada Vukovara 41, through the ePK portal, at parking machines and in the ZgPark app.

Got a space standing empty?

While your space sits there, somebody in the neighbourhood pays for the zone every day. List it, you set the price, and Parkly takes no cut of the rent.
